Measurement Day

On the day of my Lymph Node Transfer surgery my leg was measured before I went down to theatre. My left leg was 16% bigger than my right leg. Today, 7 weeks after surgery (and 2 bandage sessions later), my left leg is only 9% bigger! Amazing!

None of my stockings fit anymore! My leg feels lighter, the skin is more elastic, and has returned to a more normal colour. The changes I am experiencing are not only exciting for me but, represent a promising step towards finding a cure for lymphedema.
